Research Interests:
Pierluigi's main interests are in the field of ecological modeling. His research focus is on plant ecosystems and their interaction with climate change and air pollutants. During his master's thesis, he has developed a model to assess ozone damage on crops on the regional scale. He is currently expanding that work to apply the model to multiple plant species and to investigate the impact of climate change and different emission scenarios on crop productivity and more broadly to plant ecosystems.
